Return Policy

RETURNS (Updated 13 August 2024)


Our policy lasts 7 days from the date of receiving your order. If 7 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately, we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

You may also request a full refund if requested before your order is shipped.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned such as:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Knitting or Crochet Patterns
  • Hardware (Ie crochet hooks, knitting needles, looms etc)
  • Sale items

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 14 days after delivery

Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds
Please contact us at sales @ thewoolshoppe . co . za (without spaces) or via our contact form to follow up on a refund. Refunds can take between 3 and 12 working days after processing for them to clear in your bank account.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be returned or refunded.

Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

Colour Choices
Every effort is made to display the correct and true colour of a ball of yarn. Unfortunately, colours can differ from screen to screen as well as production and lot. No item will be exchanged or refunded based on the decision that you do not like the colours you purchased or that they do not match. We encourage customers to take careful consideration when matching colours online.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping
To return your product, you should courier your product to: 22 De Wiekus Road, Van Riebeeck Park, Kempton Park, Johannesburg, 1618, South Africa.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Orders that attracted free delivery will be charged for the delivery to the customer if a refund is requested. Example: An order costs R1000 and qualifies for free delivery, which would normally cost R99. The cost of R99 to you and R99 back to us will be deducted from your refund amount.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

International Orders

International orders can be returned at the expense of the buyer. Should you wish to exchange an item, the return and re-delivery fee is at the expense of the buyer.

A refund can only be issued if our payment gateway allows for it. If our payment gateway does not allow for a refund, a coupon will be issued for future use on our website.
